DeductKing ("we", "us", "the app") helps landlords track expenses and document tax deductions. This policy explains what we collect and how we use it.

Information we collect

Account info: your email address and name, used to create and manage your account.
Records you enter: property names and addresses, expense details (amounts, dates, vendors, payment methods, notes), mileage trips, Augusta Rule rentals, and child-wage entries.
Receipt photos: images you upload to document expenses.
Subscription status: whether you have an active Pro plan, linked to your email.

How we use your information

To store and display your expense and property records.
To generate receipts, reports, and year-end exports for your records.
To enable subscription features and verify your Pro access.
To provide educational tax-guidance tools. We do not sell your data.

Payments

Subscription payments are processed by Base44 Payments (powered by Wix Payments). We do not receive or store your full card number — payment authorization is handled by the payment processor. We store only your subscription status and a transaction reference.

AI tools & third-party processing

When you use AI tools such as "Can I Deduct This?" or the Tax Strategy Advisor, the text and images you submit are sent to our AI provider to generate a response. Avoid submitting information you do not want processed by a third-party service. AI output may be inaccurate and is not tax, legal, or financial advice.

Data storage & security

Your data is stored on Base44's hosted infrastructure and is encrypted in transit. Access to your records is limited to your account. Only account administrators may manage other users.

Data retention & deletion

We keep your records for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account and associated data at any time from the app's Account settings — this removes your properties, expenses, receipts, and trackers.

Educational content

Tax guidance and "Can I Deduct This?" results are educational only and are not tax, legal, or financial advice. You are responsible for the accuracy of your records.

Children's privacy

The app is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date above.
